About Me

I am a 33 year old Cape Town native. I was born and educated under the shadows of Table Mountain. After completing my education at the University of Cape Town, I lived for various periods of time in the USA and UK, working in Information Technology. My passion for travel, new cultures and meeting new people eventually trumped my corporate life and 4 years ago I decided to become a tour guide. Since then I have guided extensively all over Africa and Latin America.

However, every time I left Cape Town, I left with the feeling of someone who has lost something. After one too many farewells, I decided to make my next visit permanent and I decided to come back to my roots and do what I love in the city I love.

My travels have afforded me the opportunity to develop 2 of my passions, photography and languages. I now speak Spanish (well) and Portuguese (conversational). I am an aspiring professional photographer (aren't we all!) and have become very proficient, so be prepared to have amazing photos of your trip!

My other passion is surfing. With thousands kilometres of coastline available to it, cold Atlantic winter storms, and warm Indian Ocean summer cyclones providing ample opportunity for this amazing sport, Cape Town is perfectly situated for a surfer.

I hope this short resume gives you a brief insight as to who I am and what my areas of interest and expertise are. I am very passionate about my interests, as I am about showing people what a truly special place Cape Town and it environs are.
